Play Date

Today Tyler and I met a friend from Tyler's school at a place near us called the Enchanted Playhouse for a play date. We thought it would be a great place to let the kids run around and I fully expected to sit and chat with Holly while they did. Nope... we chased them around the entire time, the room was full of kids of all ages and their parents. It was fun and I know that Brooklyn and Tyler had a good time. Tyler was asleep in the car within minutes of leaving :) I can't wait to go to bed tonight :)

I'm in a bucket

Brooklyn, TOO CUTE in a little play house that was there. Tyler had found a toy vacuum and insisted on vacuuming instead of playing in the house with Brooklyn. (he loves vacuums)

In usual Tyler fashion, he was very unsure of this new place for about 20 minutes and walked around without much expression, just observing.. then he realized that there were a ton of balls in this new place and he warmed up to the idea.

BOOK

The official first word has arrived. BOOK. The qualifications included, only using the word for the actual item, clear pronunciation and at least 10 repetitions before we accepted into the first word category :) No, seriously... he has been saying a bunch of stuff but nothing "real" until book. Theres "backoom" (vacuum), "picha" (picture), "dis" (this), "deji" (doggy), "ba" for ball or pretty much anything he points at (as demonstrated in the video when he points to a banana and says ba), and "momma" and "da da" but sometimes he calls Jason momma or me da da and sometimes he calls his stuffed dog Bob momma or da da, so you see these others clearly didn't count.
