"Big Boy" Haircut

Today we took Tyler to get his first real hair cut. Tyler is only really scared of two things... dogs barking and hair cuts. He cries like crazy! We knew it wasn't going to be pleasant so we just tried to make the best of it. Who would have known that all my years of restraining animals would come in handy during our son's haircut... I held him like I would a wiggly cat and it worked well. Tish, my hairdresser, did an amazing job and worked very quickly and the results were great! He got over it quickly and looks like such a big boy now!

Let the crying begin...

Clipper part done... lets take a break.

And now the top, no clippers but scissors are just as scary.

Dad, quit taking pictures and help me!

There was a fountain outside so, after it was all over we let Tyler run around and have fun there... he forgot quickly what he had just been through.

The finished look.

LOOK - A Fountain!

OOOOOHHHHH

Hey, there's some trees.

I don't know what the big deal was all about... this isn't so bad.

More Steps for Tyler 12-31-10

And we're walking

I used this scarf around his waist to give him the support he thought he needed to walk and then when he was going, I just took it off. It worked perfectly, 30 minutes of scarf training and he was a walker. Nice job son!

Christmas 2010

Although this was not "baby's first Christmas" it felt like it. Last year Tyler was only 4 days old at Christmas, so this year was a lot of fun! Tyler had a lot of practice opening gifts so next year, he should be a pro.

I don't know if Grandpa Peppmeier knows this but Tyler was introduced to a pool table and really enjoyed putting all the balls in the pockets. I think this may be the last time he is ever 'on' the table :)

Merry Christmas Spence - please use this scratching post and stop using our stairwell railings :)

I truly believe Marcus and Penny know about Christmas, they are SO excited for their stockings each year!

The Radio Flyers... Tyler has 2. His great grandparents sent him this first one and my parents got him the second trike-like one. He loves both and so do we!

Zoo Lights

This year we finally made it to the Zoo Lights. Jason and I have never been and always wanted to go so, this year on Tyler's actual birthday we made the trip. The Zoo has SO many lights displayed and it was really beautiful to see. Tyler loved looking at all the lighted animals and decorations and it was a great way to spend the evening.
