Jason Turns 33

Jason had his 33rd birthday last week and we celebrated by spending time with the families. We met his family on his birthday for lunch and followed it up with our first indoor soccer game. (We have come out of retirement, and honestly we were shocked we lived through the first game) We also went to my parents for dessert. I asked Jason what he wanted for dinner and his response was dessert, so we had lots of chocolate that evening!

Some cute moments...

We think he looks like Shrek here :)

Tyler's First Bike

Tyler got his first bike! We really wanted to get him a bouncer (his legs are very busy lately) and we found this one, a bouncer and a walker. He is learning that he can make it move and learning that he can push all of it's buttons to make noises... he is having a ton of fun with it!

Easter

We decided to spend Easter Sunday at home, no fancy dinners just the three of us the dogs and the cat. I am so glad we did! It was the weekend following Tyler's first week at daycare and my first week back to work and it was a tough one! The day of relaxation and laundry was needed! Tyler got a hair cut and got to wear his new shirt that he got from Grandma and Grandpa Hunt for Easter and also played with his rabbit that he got from Grandma and Grandpa Peppmeier for Easter! Thanks Grandparents!

Tyler Goes to School

The time has finally come... I am back at work which means that Tyler has started school. It's daycare but we call it school. Before he started I took Tyler in once or twice a week for a long time to get used to his new surroundings and get to know his teachers (miss Connie and miss Jacque). I think the time spent there has paid off because he is doing fantastic and has made a very smooth transition from Mom care to Day care. I can't say the same for me! I never could have prepared myself for how I was going to feel the way I did when I left him that first day! The first week had some tears and a lot of emotions but Jason is better now (ha ha ha) kidding - I'm doing fine with it now. I'm glad to be back at work, I forgot how much I love what I do!

Some of Tyler's classmates

MMMMM.... Butterscotch!

Jason's Uncle and Aunt, Peter and Linda, came to visit and we were soooo excited to introduce them to Tyler! We were also excited because they came bearing the coveted butterscotch sauce recipe. At Christmas they sent us a jar of butterscotch and we have been asking for the recipe ever since! The recipe is written in Jason's grandmother's handwriting, the original, and we plan to keep it in the family! Always a jar in the fridge - right Peter? MMMMMMMMM... thanks for the recipe and we were so happy to see you both!

Rollin'

What a landmark! Tyer rolled from his tummy to his back! Here's look at our boy "rollin".

Snowboarding

We had a late snow storm hit the Cascades and I thought I had better get back up there so we planned a snowboarding day. Jason and I got soaked, the snow was very wet and heavy but we were glad we went! Tyler got to spend the day with his Grandma and Grandpa Hunt while we boarded and ate at the Mt. Hood Brewery.

Chelsea Lately

Chelsea Handler

I love Chelsea Handler and her show on E! When I heard that she not only had a new book out but was going to be in Portland for a book signing I decided I had to go. Mom came with me to help with Tyler so I could get my book signed. It was a really fun experience! Powells was packed, we were there an hour early and there was already about 200 people in front of us!

This is the last portion of the line leading up to Chelsea.

She signed my book... "Sloppy Sara"

Along for th ride... he was a trooper!
