The Big 1

It finally happened, it finally came - WAY TOO QUICKLY! Tyler turned 1! Our families and friends joined us to celebrate his first year. We celebrated a couple days prior to Tylers birthday on the weekend and had so much fun! It's hard to believe a year has passed by, Jason and I have been thinking back on what we were doing at this time last year preparing to have him and also remembering the trip to the hospital. We still have such a clear memory of those few days when we sat up at home waiting to go into the hospital all the way to when we were introduced to him for the first time. I imagine these memories will never fade, it still feels like yesterday they are so clear in our minds. Tyler, we love you so much and you have made our lives so much richer... We are so glad to be your Mom and Dad! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Dad shared in the cake mess

I made Tyler a frog cake and little froggie cupcakes

Exploring the new toys

Tyler's teacher Miss Jacque joined us for the party, we were all so glad she made it!

Dad - putting together the toys :)

Santa

The most important person to meet... Santa. We went prepared. Nap, check... Full tummy, check... front of the line, check. Despite an hour in line and a happy boy still, the minute he hit Santa's lap, the screaming began. It was adorable and SO funny! He screamed and cried and flailed his arms until I picked him up off Santa's lap and he was fine. Perhaps we should visit Cinnamon Bear like Mommy did? What a memorable day!

Santa arrives...

They had a fun-house mirror in line to help keep little men occupied. Tyler loved it.

The Tree

This years tree is different... for many reasons. Tyler helped us pick it out this year and because of our schedules we were not able to go out and cut one down for the first time. We went to our local stand-by that has helped with so many of our projects... Boring Bark. We found a beautiful tree and it is by far the most special one yet! The night came with a few surprises, a great tree, Tyler standing on his own for the first time and later in the evening he took 4 steps unassited (which I have to mention he has yet to repeat). An exciting evening would be an understatement for us.

A little assistance...

And we're standing!

A Day in the Life of Tyler

This day was too funny. It's hard keeping up with a super hero - they are BUSY!

This is my new hat

Can you still see me Mom?

This end of my new toy is cool too

Is this my bottle?

Nope

AAAAAHHHH the cat

I love my cat

He is soooo funny

I'll race you to the toy Spence

What Mom? Dont go down the stairs!

Ok but how do I get to you through these bars?

I made it Mom!

Whats that over there?

SHOES

Tyler is SO close to walking. He loves his shoes. When we put them on his feet he watches very carefully and when they are off, as you can see, he is still interested in them. Hopefully soon I'll be posting a video of him walking :)
